Presenter 1: Solomon Negash (Kennesaw State University, GA – USA / Bethany Foundation, Ethiopia, East africa and MAN Executive Council)
Biography: Dr. Solomon Negash is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University. He is the coordinator of the Information Systems program. His research focuses on e-Learning, technology transfer, and knowledge management. Dr. Negash earned his Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University in Information Systems; in addition he holds three masters degrees including information systems, MBA, and mechanical engineering. During his seven-year academic career he has published seven journal papers, one edited book, four book chapters, and over two dozen conference proceedings. Three of his journal articles were published in the top-ten journals within the Information Systems discipline. Dr. Negash has over 20 years of industry experience working as a manager and systems analyst. Dr. Negash is the recipient of the International Goodwill and Understanding award for his efforts in promoting education in Africa and founder of a charitable organization that has delivered over 300,000 books and 2,000 computers to Ethiopian colleges and libraries.

Presenter 2 : Bakary Diallo, Rector of the Africa Virtual University (UVA) and MAN Executive Counci) – Kenya, East Africa
Biography: Bakary Diallo Obtained a PhD from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with a focus on the Intergration of ICTs in higher education Institutions, a Masters Degree from the University of Ottawa, Ontario Canada and a Bachelor’s Degree from the Universite Cheikh Anta Diop, Dakar Senegal. Dr. Diallo has been working in the education sector for the last 19 years as a secondary school teacher, an academic, a consultant, a project administrator and a researcher. Since August 2005, he has been working with the African Virtual University (AVU), an Intergovernmental Organization based in Nairobi Kenya and specialized in Open Distance and Electronic Learning. Dr. Diallo is affiliated with several organizations including the Association of Part Time Professor of the University of Ottawa , Association Francophone pour le Savoir (ACFAS), Canadian Association for Distance Education, Joint Experts of UNESCO for the Follow up of the World Conference on Higher Education, Member of Merlot African Network Council and Teacher Education Working Group of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA).

Presenter 3: Mbangwana Moses Atezah, (Panafrican Research Agenda on the Pedagogical Integration of ICT – Educational Research Network for West And Central Africa (ERNWACA)), and MAN Executive Council) - Bamako, Mali – West Africa
Biography: Dr. Moses Atezah Associate Professor of Education, he obtained a PhD in educational technology from Southern University at Carbondale, Illinois in USA in 1991. He is currently with the regional office of the at the Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa in Bamako where he is Research Program Manager for the Panafrican Research Agenda on the Pedagogical Integration of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), a project sponsored by IDRC. He was formally a lecturer at the Ecole Normale Supérieure Yaoundé, Cameroon, where he taught causes in educational technology and methods of evaluation. He has participated in numerous ICT conferences and methods workshops.

Biography: Diack is professor of Science/Mathematics education at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. His specialty is in e-learning Technology and Design. He currently serves as President of the LA Academy of Science (LAS) and Director of the MERLOT Africa Network (MAN). He represents the State of Louisiana to MERLOT and the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Technology Cooperative. He is a member of the eLearning Africa Conference Advisory and is founding Chair of the Pan-African Fora on Open Education Resources (OER) and Open Access (OA), that are held as part of the eLA Conference. His research interests are in the areas of (a) Open Access and Open Education, (b) Assessment of Web 2.0 Technologies and Virtual Communities of Practice (VCP); (c) Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) design and assessment of VLEs in training, teaching and learning.
